Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how KidEdu ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit kidedu.store or buy our printable books. We are the data controller for the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data we collect

• Information you give us — e.g. your name, email and message when you use the contact form (messages are stored in our database and forwarded to us by email so we can reply), and your email when you subscribe to the newsletter.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We keep your order email address and the items you purchased so we can deliver your downloads and provide support.
• Technical information — our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. Your shopping cart is stored locally in your own browser and is not transmitted to us until checkout.

2. How and why we use your data

• To process orders and deliver your downloads (performance of a contract).
• To respond to your enquiries (legitimate interest).
• To send marketing emails where you have opted in (consent).
• To keep the site secure and improve it (legitimate interest).
• To comply with our legal and tax obligations (legal obligation).

Our newsletter uses double opt-in: after signing up you receive a confirmation email with a link, and your subscription becomes active only once you confirm. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link.

3. Sharing your data

We share data only with the trusted processors that help us run the service, under appropriate data-processing agreements:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Brevo — transactional email (order delivery, newsletter and contact-form forwarding).
• Hostinger — the VPS (Frankfurt, EU) hosting the Postgres database where orders, contact messages and newsletter subscriptions are stored, and the Meilisearch index that powers product search.
• Vercel — hosting, plus Vercel Analytics, which is cookie-less and collects only aggregated, anonymous usage data.
• Google Analytics 4 — optional usage analytics, active only when enabled on the site and only after you accept via the consent banner (Consent Mode: no analytics cookies before consent).

We never sell your personal data.

4. Children

Our books are designed for children, but our store is intended for purchase by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

5. International transfers & retention

Where data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal requirements.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
